Despite L&D cutbacks, 2010 looks to be a promising year for e-learning. Paris, 15th February, 2010 – Throughout the course of 2009, many organisations had to make adjustments in response to the harsh economic reality of the recession. OUCCPD, the central focus for workrelated professional development at the Open University, have joined forces with CrossKnowledge, the European leader in developing management knowledge and leadership skills using new technologies, to introduce a unique offering in the field of management training.
Executives at Alcatel-Lucent University programme decided they wanted 25% of all their training schemes to be provided through distance learning, particularly their management courses. To do this, they introduced mixed training courses, carefully combining self-study distance learning modules with group-based classroom tuition.
Since the introduction of distance learning, executives taking part in the ESCP-EAP European Executive MBA programme have enjoyed an enhanced level of engagement with the ESCP-EAP teaching staff and a higher quality of interaction with professors. Indeed those professors are now participating in the development of e-learning programmes in conjunction with teams from CrossKnowledge. |
